With
ICSA Certification, the ZyWALL 10W provides state-of-the-art Firewall
performance and robust security. Based on Stateful Packet Inspection
and Denial of Service (DoS), it provides the first line of defense

VPN (Virtual Private Network) Support
The
ZyWALL 10W supports ICSA certified IPSec VPN, suitable for site-to-site
and remote access deployment. Data encryption over the Internet ensures
secure transmission between two sites, and can be used to replace a
private leased line or frame relay network, allowing global
interconnectivity at a minimal expense.
Mobile Network with Optional Wireless LAN
The
ZyWALL 10W provides an optional wireless LAN solution by adding ZyXEL's
ZyAIR B-100 wireless LAN PC card. Based on IEEE 802.1x authentication
framework and RADIUS accounting records, the ZyWALL 10W offers the
convenience of wireless LAN access without sacrificing the security and
reliability expected from cabled Firewall / VPN solutions.
*Effective Networking Resource Allocation
The
ZyWALL 10W enables network administrators to allocate network resources
while guaranteeing Quality of Service (QoS). Network bandwidth
allocation increases productivity and efficiency in daily operations by
tailoring a system to specific demands.
Traffic Redirection for Broadband Backup Connection
The
ZyWALL 10W supports fail-over and fail-back technology by forwarding
WAN port traffic to backup ISDN or Analog modems when the WAN port
connection fails. When the WAN connection is reestablished, the traffic
returns. The ZyWALL 10W can also perform backup functions by connecting
ISDN or Analog modems to ensure availability of the Internet. The
ZyWALL 10W backup features save the cost of IT consulting, device
maintenance, and daily operation losses.
